In medicine, I feel like #1 is crucial. Many of the poor leaders I witnessed in my training often blamed other members of the team (nurses, trainees, etc.) when care fell short. Leaders own the entire team's losses and give others credit for the wins. Thanks @sjutt

82 yo F offered "conservative" treatment. 2 mo. of 10/10 pain to 0/10. Vertebral augmentation is life saving therapy that should be considered for every patient with symptomatic VCF. Educating referring providers is key. It's an uphill battle. @uamspain @dougbeall @WayneOlan

There is nothing in medicine like hearing "I'm pain free!" from a patient that has had CRPS for 8 years. It is such a nasty disease, but SHE (not me) did all the work and I am SO proud of her. We might have teared up together. @UAMSPain @uamshealth
