⚠️ Official Security Advisory: The U.S. State Department has issued a serious security alert for Mali All U.S. citizens are urged to depart immediately due to a rapidly deteriorating security situation. Bamako Airport (GABS) remains open, but all overland routes are considered unsafe due to the risk of terrorist attacks. Crews should exercise extreme caution and avoid layovers.

Important update for operators and passengers transiting through Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport (SPJC): All transit passengers at Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport (SPJC) now need to pay an airport use fee of approximately $13. Known as the TUUA, this fee isn’t included in operator fares. To avoid delays, pay in advance via the LAP online platform (lnkd.in/dYEdinDN) This fee does not apply to crew unless they are departing as passengers.

Flying to Thailand? Here’s what operators need to know: New requirement for operations in Thailand. The CAA now requires Charter operators wishing to operate for more than a month or conduct more than 4 flights in a month to obtain approval of a Foreign Aircraft Operator Security Programme (FAOSP) before flying. This only applies to commercial flights, not private.

The Malaysian capital will host the 47th ASEAN Summit from October 26-28. The event will see an increase in VIP and business jet movements with Heads of State, Ministers, and senior government delegations traveling to the city during this period.
