UBC PHPM Residency Program

Over the past two days, the @UBC_PHPM residents had their annual residency bootcamp. Thanks to our amazing instructors Drs. @sbuttemer @tcorneil & Shovita Padhi we worked through common on-call cases, public health law, exam prep and a thrilling emergency management simulation!

This week the ⁦@UBC_PHPM⁩ residents had their annual retreat in Whistler, BC. The residents spent time at ⁦@SLCCWhistler⁩, went on a tree trekking aerial course and had some rest and relaxation time. We’re ready to get this academic year started!

Wonder what is the life of a UBC PhPM resident? Today we got a tour of Tree Island Steel plant to learn about occupational health and safety as well as the environmental impacts of industry on local communities and the role of public health. Plus look at that safety gear!!
