Students in UB-HWI's Skill Set Building Through Structural Biology program went beyond the classroom with visits to the Buffalo Museum of Science and the Jacobs Institute — exploring science communication, biomedical tech, and careers that connect science to real-world impact.

UB-HWI’s Skill Set Building Through Structural Biology summer program for high school students is in full swing—and the participants have been experiencing a variety of activities! They’re gaining both scientific knowledge and confidence this summer!

This week, we welcomed students from the Eric Pitman Annual Summer Workshop in Computational Science to the University at Buffalo’s Hauptman-Woodward Research Institute! During their visit, they toured our Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center and the National Crystallization Center.
