The Call for Proposals is now open for the 25th @oidp_org Conference, taking place 21–23 September 2026 in Kraków, Poland. Under the theme “Hope and Renewal in the Face of a Global Crisis of Democracy – The Future of Participatory Democracy from Local to International Governance,” this gathering will unite political leaders, public officials, academics, civil society, and practitioners to rethink how participation can rebuild trust and strengthen democracy in turbulent times. Hosted by the Municipality of Kraków and our Coalition Partner @uclg_org, the conference welcomes proposals exploring citizen participation in crisis, deeper democracy and deliberation, democratic transitions, and the role of local governments. Whether you’re submitting a presentation, panel, workshop, or interactive session, this is an opportunity to showcase bold ideas and innovative practices. Deadline for submissions: 30 April 2026.
