Congratulations to Dr. Pat Woller, our newest NGP grad! Pat defended his thesis, "Epilepsy and Developmental Defects Disrupt the Control of Breathing: Implications for SUDEP and SIDS" this afternoon.

The Fall 2025 Semester has begun! Welcome to our new NGP cohort of 12 fantastic students (8 PhD students and 4 MD/PhD students). We are so happy to have you!

Each year, our fantastic NGP students volunteer their time to support the Cincinnati community through outreach events. Yesterday, they met a group of 6th grade science enthusiasts to teach about neuroscience with fun activities. Highlight: touching real brains and spinal cords!

Congratulations to Dr. Herman! Jim Herman, PhD, has been recognized with the prestigious Ron de Kloet Award for Stress Research at a recent meeting in the Netherlands. This honor celebrates his significant contributions to the field of stress biology.

Thank you to our NGP students who participated in a lunch meeting with Dean Postel and students from other programs. You were engaged and shared insight that was important for the Dean to hear directly from student voices. We appreciate your efforts!

NGP Takes Over the American Sign Museum! This Friday, we held our annual retreat, with fantastic scientific & professional development sessions. We also started a new tradition of student awards. Congratulations to winners Laura, Meranda, Fady, Kassidy, Judy, Ian, and Jake!
