These were: the Presidential, the Parliamentary, District Chairpersons, District Councillors, Sub-County Chairpersons and Sub-County Councillors. I, especially, congratulate our party, the NRM, for winning all those elections with big majorities. I also congratulate the other parties such as the DP, UPC, etc., that participated in the elections without using violence unlike the Party of NUP and some few elements of FDC, that were using violence. The parties under IPOD should clearly lay out agreed guidelines on the dos and don’ts of election management, according to the laws and the constitution of Uganda.

Leaders in Kabale District have commissioned the handover of farm inputs to beneficiary coffee farmers under the Uganda Climate Smart Agriculture Transformation Project (UCSATP), a government initiative aimed at improving agricultural productivity and resilience. The handover ceremony was held on Friday in Rwabaremeera Village, Rugarama Parish, Maziba Sub-county. Speaking during the event, Senior Fisheries Officer and UCSATP focal person Jennifer Twebaze said the project operates under a co-funding arrangement where beneficiary farmer groups contribute 20 percent of the cost while government, through support from the World Bank, meets the remaining 80 percent. @UCSATP

@UCSATP starts the distribution of agricultural inputs to beneficiary farmer groups accross the 69 project supported districts through the e-voucher system. This milestone marks a significant step in supporting farmers to enhance productivity and strengthen livelihoods under @Ucsatp. We emphasize the importance of adopting modern agricultural practices and leveraging digital systems like e-vouchers to improve transparency and efficiency in input distribution. Turning waste into wealth: Black Soldier Fly farming reshaping livelihoods Through Black Soldier Fly farming, communities are discovering a reliable source of income, cheaper animal feed, and a cleaner environment.

H.E @jessica_alupo , has this morning flagged off the distribution of over 100 double cabin pick ups and over 1000 motorcycles to districts to support agriculture extension work under the @UCSATP supported by the @WorldBank Its our policy objective as @MAAIF_Uganda , that all extension workers get adequate means of transport to enable them carry out farm out reaches. I appeal to all Leaders ( MPs, LC5 chairpersons, RDCs,Disos,councillors etc) to ensure that these tools deployed are put to good use . I thank the @WorldBankGroup for prioritizing Agriculture in their funding/lending framework .

The distribution of the vehicles and motorcycles is anticipated to greatly improve coordination, data collection, and implementation of climate-smart agriculture initiatives under @UCSATP. District officials expressed appreciation for the support, highlighting that the new assets will enhance their capacity to monitor progress, support farmers, and contribute to increased agricultural productivity and resilience. The Vice President of Uganda, @jessica_alupo, along side @FrankTumwebazek and @HellenAdoa have today officially handed over 69 vehicles and 1,034 motorcycles to district local governments under the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project. The handover ceremony, organized by @Maaifclf, marks a significant step towards strengthening agricultural extension services and enhancing monitoring capacity across the 69 project-supported districts. In her remarks, the Vice President emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector through improved service delivery and increased accessibility to farmers. She noted that the provision of transport equipment will facilitate extension workers in reaching farmers more efficiently, offering timely advisory services, and ensuring effective supervision of project activities. The intervention is expected to bridge critical mobility gaps that have long hindered field operations, especially in remote and underserved areas.
