We're thrilled for Frankie, who won 'Best Supporting Actress in a Musical' at the prestigious National School Theatre Awards yesterday evening! She received incredible feedback from the judges and did exceptionally well to win in a very competitive category.

The Refractory was filled with positive affirmations celebrating our Remove Pupil Champions, Model United Nations team, and the 'Ringers' (Basketball 1st team) at the Group Achievement Award Dinner! We were delighted to celebrate all of their diverse achievements.

Last week, the Lund Theatre hosted the exceptional Lower School Production of Private Peaceful, a powerful story of love, loyalty, and loss in wartime. Well done to all involved in this successful production!

Friday marked the last day for our Sixth pupils; together, we celebrated with heartfelt wishes for their forthcoming exams and future endeavours. We commend their dedication and wish them every success as they embark on this exciting new chapter.

Leading with wisdom and flair, our brilliant Captains of Monitors, Finn and Lizey, delivered their final assembly last Thursday. They now embark on study leave for their A Levels, leaving a legacy of thoughtful engagement for their peers.

With the summer sun shining, cricket season is off to a great start! Congrats to our younger teams for their recent victories against John Lyon and St. Benedict's! Common UCS!

A huge congratulations to our U12 hockey team for winning the U12 Regional Hockey Plate! Alejandro and Sully, members of the winning team, are both currently trialling for Camden/Westminster at the London Youth Games!

Entry pupils adventured across the Channel to the stunning Opal Coast in Northern France over the Easter Break. During the trip, they visited a snail farm, where they let the snails slide around on their faces! A chocolate factory and much more!

Over the Easter break, 95 lucky pupils from Shell to Lower Remove enjoyed the sunny slopes of Sestriere for an unforgettable week of skiing!

Four times the World Champion! Freddy has once again proven his mastery, seizing the Irish Dancing Senior Men's World Champion title for 2025! Adding to his victories in 2019, 2022, and 2023. We are beyond proud of him!

A massive congratulations to Roshan on becoming the Middlesex England Schools U16 champion! An incredible achievement, and we're excited to see him represent Middlesex at the National Regional Finals!

The UCS Chess Team has continued to showcase its brilliance this term. Not only were they greatly successful at the British Schools Team Chess Challenge 2025, but the team is now preparing for the National Finals this June, following their 4-2 victory at the Semi-Finals. Go UCS!

The Old Gower Annual Dinner was a night where connections forged years ago were rekindled and celebrated. As John Jay (1970-1975) observed..."I looked around our long table and marvelled at the diversity of our careers, both private and public sector."

Our Chess A Team dominated at the British Schools Chess Challenge 2025, securing a flawless victory without losing a single game! We are incredibly proud of our pupils for this great achievement and wish them the best for their upcoming match at the regional finals!

Our Middle School's production of Burying My Brother in the Pavement has concluded after three nights of amazing performances. The cast and crew handled the complex themes with maturity and delivered a truly memorable show!
