The Faculty of Law is deeply saddened by the passing of Nicholas "Fink" Haysom yesterday, 18 March 2026, in New York City. A Faculty LLB alum, and recipient of a UCT LLD Honoris Causa (2012), Fink Haysom was internationally recognised for his significant contributions to human rights, constitutionalism, and conflict resolution, both in South Africa and internationally.
