A 1960’s push shot was UCONN’s dagger today! That’s a payback for running up the score in the 1964 Regional Finals. Coach Fred Shabel told his team “If we ever meet Duke in Philadelphia again, UCONN will pay them back!” Today was the next time!

At the end of the day, this is a disappointing end to a good season. Not a great season by any stretch but nothing embarrassing about an E8 exit to the top team in the country. We just never really shot the ball the way we should have this year. Congrats to Duke.
