This means signal improvements and widening areas of existing pavement while keeping most of the existing layout and pavement in place, including the I-80/SR-224 interchange. We considered transportation performance, impacts on the natural and human environment, and cost.

🔊Big news, Kimball Junction travelers: We published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for our study to improve transportation in the Kimball Junction area, selecting Alternative C: Intersection Improvements with Pedestrian Enhancements.

@UtahDOT Upcoming I-80 Impacts in Summit County: ➡️Aug. 20 - Aug. 24: Alternating EB & WB US-40 on- and off-ramp closures ➡️Aug. 24 - Early Fall: Intermittent daytime shoulder closures. Visit udotinput.utah.gov/pavingi80 for more info.

Starting June 23rd, crews will be closing 2 lanes both eastbound and westbound starting at 7 p.m - 6 a.m for some repaving work. Motorists can expect short travel delays.
