Hi Mo, UETCL continuously works with security agencies and communities to protect transmission infrastructure. Given the vast distances covered by transmission lines, protection remains a shared responsibility. Under the Electricity Act, vandalism of electricity infrastructure is a criminal offence and offenders are dealt with in accordance with the laws of Uganda.

We hosted the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) Board of Directors & Management at our Tororo pole treatment plant today. The delegation, led by the Chairperson Board represented by Eng. Eriasi Kiyemba, was received by the UETCL team led by Mr. Godfrey Masaba on behalf of the CEO. The plant plays a key role in treating and preserving wooden poles used in our transmission infrastructure, ensuring durability, safety, and network reliability. The visit reaffirmed our commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and efficient power transmission. We appreciate ERA’s continued support as we keep #TransmittingForTransformation towards a sustainable energy future. @ERA_Uganda @KwameEjalu @NankabirwaRS @MEMD_Uganda
