🚒 It’s Time for the Math to Add Up for LAFD! 🧮 Today, we celebrate Pi Day and math. - but the math isn’t adding up for the @LAFD. We have the same number of firefighters today as we had in the 1960s, with six fewer fire stations and 500% more emergency calls. LA City Resident and LAFD Captain Dave Riles got into the spirit with his son and took a “pi” to the face after another successful day of collecting signatures for our UFLAC ballot measure. Fund the LAFD. Sign the petition today. ✍️ Learn more at FundLAFire.com

The @LAFD is half the size it should be. We have the same number of firefighters, five times the call load, and fewer fire stations today than we had in the 1960s.  Firefighters are taking action. Support the UFLAC led Ballot Measure targeting November 2026 to: ✅ Add Firefighters and Paramedics to cut response times ✅ Replace a failing fleet of engines and ambulances ✅ Fix crumbling fire stations & build new stations ✅ Ensure the money is dedicated to the LAFD and can’t be diverted  It’s time to give LAFD Firefighters and Paramedics the resources they need to make LA safe. 🚒🔥

Where does the money go? Straight to the @LAFD for firefighters and fire stations, resulting in faster response times. New funds supplement existing LAFD funding, they don't replace it. Let’s Protect LA. Sign the petition today to fund the LAFD! Visit the link in bio to learn more.

“We have less firefighters doing suppression and medical rescue today than we did in 1992 when I came on the job.” @LAFD Captain II Frank Lima We need more firefighters, more paramedics, more trucks, engines, and ambulances to protect LA. Without additional resources 🚒 response times are delayed and people die.  ✍️ Sign the petition today to fund the LAFD! 🔗 Visit the link in bio to learn more.

We don’t like taxes either and we definitely don’t support tax increases that can be wasted or redirected. Our measure is different. Every dollar is locked to the @LAFD , with strict protections. Hiring firefighters/paramedics, fixing stations, and purchasing emergency equipment. That’s why we stand behind it. 🚒 ✍️ Sign the petition today to fund the LAFD! 🔗 Learn more at the link in bio.

Seconds matter 🔥 When a fire breaks out… a child can’t breathe… or someone goes into cardiac arrest - @LAFD takes almost 8 minutes to arrive because of staffing shortages. That’s too long. City residents deserve an emergency response you can count on. ✍️ Sign the petition today to fund the LAFD! 🔗 Visit the link in bio to learn more.

🚨 Are we safer today than we were a year ago? LA Firefighters say NO. 🚨 Join us Thursday, January 15th at 9:00am for a press conference at LAFD Fire Station 58 (1556 S Robertson Blvd) as we kick-off our Ballot Measure campaign to fund the @LAFD to make our city safe.   The City has shown it can’t or won’t properly fund and staff the @LAFD, so our firefighters and paramedics are taking the case directly to the voters of Los Angeles.
