We've got to stop Trump's farm worker wage cuts. Their H-2A rule change drastically cuts wages for H-2A farm workers and local workers alike. We filed suit in federal court to block it, but lawsuits take a long time and are very expensive. Please help. act.seiu.org/a/trumpswagecu…

Farm workers are pruning pistachio trees in Mettler CA. This is important to promote healthy growth and improve future yields. Using hand tools, they carefully remove excess and unproductive branches to shape the trees and allow better sunlight and air circulation. #WeFeedYou

By the time they were greeted at the state Capitol by 10,000 people 25 days later on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, the marchers—or peregrinos (pilgrims)—had also placed the farm workers’ plight squarely before the conscience of the American people. 2/2

"Ira" is getting new vegetable beds leveled out. "I use a rear blade to smooth everything down so the planting crew has a flat surface to work with. If the grade is off by even an inch, water will pool in the low spots and drown the crop while the high spots stay dry." #WeFeedYou

Farm workers in Arvin CA are hard at work setting up the irrigation system in a vegetable field. This is crucial for maximizing crop yield and quality, by providing consistent moisture directly to roots, which reduces plant stress and helps prevent disease. #WeFeedYou
