"Gabriel" shared this picture from Arvin CA, saying, "This is how we farm workers work, with heat and humidity". It was 95° at 12 noon and feels hotter as there is no breeze under the vines and the humidity is higher which raises the heat index substantially. #WeFeedYou

As Central Valley temps increase, tomato transplant crews are scheduled overnight to improve the survival of young tomato plants. Working overnight means workers make long drives home while fatigued in the early am hours. They make minimum wage and work 8-10 hrs/day. #WeFeedYou

Farm workers are harvesting in a leafy green field in Lamont CA. First they harvest the crop and then they pack it into cartons that are stacked on a tractor-pulled platform. At 10:25 a.m. when this photo was taken it was already 90° with an expected high of 99°. #WeFeedYou

"Susana" is picking blackberries in Dinuba CA. She gets paid $4.50 for each tray of 12 baskets. She shares, "I earned $54 this day as I harvested 12 trays." #WeFeedYou

It was 9: 45am and 85° in Mettler CA as a worker carries a box of freshly packed grapes after checking the sugar levels/sweetness of the grapes being harvested. #WeFeedYou

"Raul" is harvesting oranges in Delano CA. We go up and down ladders with a 70lb bags and filling a 900 lb bin. We get paid $24/bin. If I go really fast, in a 5 hr work day, I managed to fill 5 bins It is very hard to move up and down the ladder with a heavy bag." #WeFeedYou

"Alejandra" earns CA minimum wage harvesting strawberries in Ventura County. "I've been working in the strawberries for about 13 years. When the strawberry season ends, I will work with blackberries, and then returns for next summers' strawberry harvest." #WeFeedYou

Fig season has started in CAs San Joaquin Valley. "Manuel" earns minimum wage harvesting the fruit. "I use these latex gloves to protect my hands. The liquid that comes out of the fruit can cause burns, so this is my way to protect my hands." #WeFeedYou

Under "Sergio's" UFW contract he earns $163 per day as a tomato dumper. He receives & dumps 25-pound buckets of tomatoes throughout the 5+hr work day. "It's hard work as we continually lift buckets while standing on an open trailer bed under a hot Central Valley sun." #WeFeedYou

"Jeronimo" is a tractor driver in Oxnard CA. "Right now I'm weeding lettuce. "I enjoy my job, but gets tired when I works 10+ hr days. I work near Laguna Rd where the big raid took place last year. I worry about working in an open field with no fences to keep ICE out." #WeFeedYou
