Delighted to do my first ever #ParkRun, with @Guildfrdparkrun. 360 people coming together for a Saturday morning jog/race, some with dogs/pushing prams. Totally free, run by volunteers. Great fun. I even managed to finish in the top half of the field! @parkrunUK

Great to get my #Covid_19 booster vaccination at a walk-in centre. Everything well-organised and easy. Jabbed by a volunteer who has been giving 10 hours a week since March. Thanks to her, @nhs and the many other volunteers who made it possible. @RoyalVolService

@veganarchogay @tiredgenerally Kibbutzim in Israel originally had kids living together in children's houses and spending just a few hours a day with their parents but, in about the 1980s, the practice was discontinued. But more limited, informal sharing of parenting seems like a good idea.

Having once been an Islamist myself (when I was much younger) I can tell you with the wisdom of hindsight that a lot of it is really about identity and very little of it is about spirituality. We feel humiliated by the West, and alienated from our own pre-colonial identities
