When I first watched the trailer, I didn't hear "Liza". Who I heard was "Raissa". Liza perfectly made her voice fit the character and made even me, an fan since 2015, take a second and third listen just to be sure it was really Liza.

Alam mo, I think we should let this film to exist as something catered for them and that should be fine. Kita mo na sa treatment pa lang ng design that it’s not being subtle in its Filipino-ness, and for some FilAms, this is important for them.

this is gonna sound harsh but i hope this movie can also be relatable to mainland filipinos and not just filams. i hope this movie’s portrayal of the culture is not just tongue in cheek and is actually a lived experience of what it is here

This is gonna sound harsh but ang importante meron kesa wala! Kahit hindi 100% accurate ang importante there is something they can build on. Trailblazers are not always perfect but their very existence is worthy of praise and support.

I have a feeling FORGOTTEN ISLAND is going to spark a lot of DISCOURSE here in the PH, but more importantly, we need to show up in cinemas. Stories like these rarely get the spotlight in Hollywood.
