@iiiamdara Omo! I don’t know how long he’s been earning $4.5k a month for, but not being able to save up and own as little as a one bedroom apartment really says a lot about his financial discipline.

🗣️ Samir Nasri on Ramadan:
"Why should coaches need to know if players are observing Ramadan? In my day, no one asked me, 'Are you fasting for Ramadan or not?' We're in a secular country; normally, religion should stay in the private sphere.
Does the coach go to Catholics and ask if they're observing Lent? Why wasn't this question about Ramadan an issue 20 years ago? This question shouldn't even exist. You know it's Ramadan season, you know more or less which players on your team are Muslim. You watch the matches; if a player is underperforming, you sub him out, that's it. Why go and ask him if he's fasting for Ramadan? Because he's fasting, are you going to look at him differently? It shouldn't be a thing to ask your players not to fast.
Karim Benzema, he's at his best when he's under Ramadan. Do we talk about that too? Everyone has their own experience. Some players are carried by their faith too, and that, you can't know. Some eat McDonald's and score hat-tricks; there's no logic to it."
