How are marketplaces connected to Soorah al-Masad? Our children are exploring the old Makkan marketplaces. They were amazed to discover how trade, travel, poetry, and public gatherings all played a role in spreading messages and ideas in the marketplaces.

(Since the principle is: Body hair being removed or left is a dunyaa (worldly) matter, left as a permissible choice to the discretion of each person. Requiring removal or forbidding it is only based on textual evidence.)

SUMMARY: I learned from Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allah preserve him) in his sittings on Tafseer at the Haram in Makkah: Removal of body hair is of three categories: 1) Legislated to be removed/trimmed: pubes, underarm, moustache (regularly); head (when completing Hajj & umrah) 2) Forbidden to be removed: the eyebrows, the beard 3) Permissible, based on personal choice: all other hair (arms, legs, chest, back, etc.).
