Extraordinary news this morning! We have hosted @DAcemogluMIT in our @umassinforms speaker series @umassamherst and his wife @AsuOzdaglar as well. Congratulations to all the @NobelPrize laureates!

Yesterday, we received wonderful news from @INFORMS - the @UMassINFORMS Student Chapter will receive the Magna Cum Laude Award at @INFORMS2024 in Seattle. This is a wonderful collaboration of multiple colleges @umassamherst inc @isenbergumass & @umassengin. Congrats to the officers and members! #orms

#ORMS summer reading recommendation: Our Faculty Advisor shows how optimization enhances daily life. Packing a suitcase for international conferences becomes an interesting #knapsack problem, especially with European airline carry-on weight constraints added to the model! 🎒🧳✍️

Departmental (and related) seminars are very important for knowledge exchange and networking. Since 2004, we have been organizing @umassinforms seminars and I am so grateful to all the outstanding speakers who have spoken in our series @umassamherst and to the chapter officers.
