Presenting the check is Jennifer Nice of UNA who created the GoFundMe which locals and local businesses generously supported to purchase the needed washer/dryer. The LAFD provides for cleaning the official clothes used to fight fire, but their personal clothes, no. So that’s where the Lincoln Heights community stepped in.

We thank the fabulous Firefighters of Lincoln Heights, at Fire Station 1. When they got a new engine, after local support, they needed a washer/dryer for their personal gear, and the local community responded. We hope the community will again sponsor Fire Station 1 Appreciation Day
