🇲🇭 At a recent Development Partner Roundtable in Majuro, the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), alongside development partners and the NDC Partnership Support Unit, convened for a two-day session to align support for climate action. Participants explored ways to strengthen coordination, improve information sharing and ensure all development assistance is aligned with national climate targets. The meeting opened with remarks from Hon. Kalani R. Kaneko, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. During the pillar 1 session, @UNEPCCC highlighted key priorities for supporting RMI through the NDC Partnership — including national and community engagement to raise awareness of NDC 3.0 and foster a shared understanding of national climate priorities. 🤝 Together, partners are strengthening climate action across RMI. #ClimateAction #RMI #PacificResilience #NDCs

🇬🇲 The Gambia is advancing its NDC 3.0 process. Through @Meccnar_Gambia, the country hosted a three-day workshop to conduct a national stocktake of NDC implementation and strengthen country ownership of its NDC 3.0. Around 50 participants from government ministries, development partners, the private sector, civil society and academia: ✅ Assessed progress in meeting mitigation and adaptation targets across key sectors. ✅ Identified gaps and challenges in data, institutional capacity, finance and coordination. ✅ Evaluated opportunities to strengthen the design and delivery of future climate action. ✅ Provided evidence-based recommendations to align near-term targets with long-term strategies. The workshop enabled stakeholders to align on priorities and map out next steps for finalizing the stocktake and shaping NDC 3.0 recommendations. The NDC 3.0 update process is supported by the NDC Partnership, with technical assistance from @UNEPCCC, @2050Platform and Climate Action Africa. #NDCs #TheGambia #ClimateAction

🇲🇼 Malawi is greening its financial system to safeguard growth and unlock climate investment. In early 2025, the @ReserveBankMW (RBM) launched a dedicated Climate Change Centre, staffed with experts central to lead training across RBM departments and capacity building programs, including modules on green bonds, #ESG disclosure and climate stress testing. Building on earlier support from the @UNEPCCC, funded through the Partnership Action Fund (PAF), these efforts are helping Malawi align climate ambition with investment and build a resilient, green financial system.
