Today is the International Day of Digital Learning! UIS data shows that globally, only ~50% of primary schools have computers and Internet access for learning. In sub-Saharan Africa, just 36% of primary schools have electricity, the foundation for everything else. Measuring gaps is the first step to closing them. 📊The second round of the Capacity-Building Workshop on SDG 4 Indicators concluded in Dammam, Saudi Arabia Organized by the @UNESCOBEIRUT, @UNESCO_RCQE and the @UNESCOstat, the workshop strengthened national capacities to calculate, align, and report SDG 4 indicators in line with global standards. ✅Key outcomes: • Updated ISCED mappings • Improved measurement of learning outcomes & education expenditure • Stronger national coordination through task forces • Enhanced regional cooperation & bilateral follow-up support Participants also committed to improving reporting practices and ensuring the timely submission of UIS data.
