The recent reduction in violence has allowed UNIFIL to gradually increase its operational activities across south Lebanon. As families begin returning to their villages, peacekeepers are expanding their presence to help consolidate the relative stability achieved in recent weeks.

A simple conversation can turn “I heard” into “it’s true” when information isn’t checked. Misinformation often starts without a clear source—it begins with us, passing on unverified words that quickly become a “credible source.” Before sharing: Check. Verify. Share responsibly.

UNIFIL peacekeepers remain on the ground, monitoring the situation and reporting observed violations in line with our mandate under Security Council resolution 1701.

Amidst months of intense violence in south Lebanon, UNIFIL peacekeepers have remained in their positions across their area of operations and along the Blue Line to monitor developments, report on the situation, and assist affected communities. 🧵

UNIFIL peacekeepers donated blood to support Marjayoun Hospital and bolster its blood supply. The initiative reflects our ongoing cooperation with local healthcare institutions. Supporting local communities underpins our work in south Lebanon.

UNIFIL peacekeepers have not detected any trajectories or observed interceptions or airstrikes since Sunday, marking more than two days without such activity since the resumption of hostilities on 2 March.
