Heartiest Congratulations!!!!
Sweet end of hard work towards your Ph.D, Pratiksha!!!! Proud of Pratiksha Baishya, who worked hard last several years to make change her name “Dr. Pratiksha Baishya”. Well done!!!
Best wishes.
Excellent stand of Fall planted winter pea of 26 varieties from ProGene, Montana State University Pulse breeding Prg. and Valesco Genetics.
Hope for a good yield next summer
Proso millet as climate resilient cereal in Corn country!!!!
Planting (May 31) Proso Millet at Havelock Farm, Lincoln went well…. 2nd year of yield evaluation!!!
“Ancient Technology” recognizes “Ancient Grains”…..
Because of this comparability, Planting (May 30) of Proso Millet germplasm panel went well by ‘Ancient’ yet effective technology (in contrast to GPS mounted Drill) at Havelock Farm, Lincoln, NE…
See how less vigor the winter pea at Grant (Dryland) is; the trial at Scottsbluff (irrigated) is completely different (excellent vigor)…. That is the difference the irrigation makes… Scottsbluff plot is well protected from winter (hardly any winter kill)…
@SchnableLab Winter pea at Scottsbluff always this way, very vigorous and high yield as well (70-80 bu/a)…
Similar were the trials since 2019…
Last year also like this but hailed out….
@UNL_Alt_Crops They look so much more vigorous than last year. Is that the result of a more mild winter or have you been able to select varieties better adapted to the Nebraska panhandle?
