Eventually, A doesn't produce as positive an effect as it used to (if any) while the 'crash' becomes longer and much worser. In the end, drugs are no longer used recreationally, but in an addiction to alleviate the aversive feelings of withdrawal from the overpowered B process.

‼️SIKE/PSYCH SUNDAY‼️ People can often perceive drug addicts as those who use substances because they enjoy the 'high'. But this perspective doesn't cover everything, and psych models have helped illuminate other reasons as to why drug use persists (even if it causes harm).

The Imagineers take advantage of our assumptions that things like bricks are uniform in size. So by making the turrets/bricks/windows physically smaller as the castle structures go up, we perceive it as further away and thus think the castle is a lot grander than it actually is!
