At least 17 Sudanese migrants died yesterday in a shipwreck off Tobruk, #Libya. Of the 33 on board, 7 survived and 9 remain missing. This tragedy underscores the need to strengthen search and rescue, ensure disembarkation in safe places, and expand safe & regular pathways.

No country can govern migration alone. The #IMRF2026 brings governments, civil society, the UN and migrants together to govern it more safely, effectively and collectively.
