UP Min AgriFoodSystems Analytics Lab

During the first day, participants immersed themselves in the world of data science and its role in AgriFood Systems. They explored techniques for preprocessing and managing data using RStudio, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with its potent functions and features.

On the 2nd day of workshop, participants explored critical topics, including "Data Science for Social Impact," understanding how data can drive positive change. They also gained practical skills in data visualization and text analysis using RStudio.

This is organized by the UP Min AgriFood Systems Analytics Laboratory through the support of Foundation for Food and Agricultural Research and the UPSTREAM Foundation Inc., in partnership with the UP Mindanao College of Science and Mathematics, and the School of Management.

Its 1st project is titled “Developing a multi-criteria adoptability index for identifying and prioritizing micronutrient rich neglected and underutilized crops”, an entry to the Harvest for Health (H4H) Crop Challenge, and is funded by FFAR

It is a project jointly initiated by the faculty and researchers from the University of the Philippines Mindanao, established to harness data analytics to facilitate informed decision-making, risk mitigation, supply chain optimization, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture
