USAP Central Texas recently held its annual Summer Fan Drive as part of the USAP Cares initiative, bringing together clinicians and corporate team members, to support local community organizations. Through the generosity and participation of 36 team members, the drive collected new fans and monetary donations to support Family Elder Care and Fans For Paws. These organizations provide essential resources to help bring relief to vulnerable families, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and pets during the hot summer months. The USAP Maryland team recently hosted a Summer Social, bringing together team members and their families for an afternoon of connection and fun at Manor Hill Brewery. From lawn games and face painting to delicious food and visits with the farm animals, the event offered something for everyone to enjoy. Attendees also participated in a raffle featuring several exciting prizes, adding to the day's festivities. Investing in the next generation of anesthesia professionals has always been a priority at USAP. Recently, USAP hosted a Resident/Fellow Social in New Orleans, bringing together approximately 50 anesthesia residents and fellows from LSU, Tulane, and Ochsner. The event provided an opportunity for USAP clinicians and recruiters to connect with trainees, share their experiences, and discuss the many career opportunities available after residency and fellowship. USAP physicians who are alumni of these programs also joined the conversation, helping foster meaningful connections and strengthen relationships with future anesthesiologists across Louisiana. #USAP #Anesthesiology #ResidentEducation

The USAP South Texas team recently came together to support pediatric patients through the USAP Cares Toy Drive, a community outreach initiative in partnership with Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. USAP Colorado is proud to partner with Make-A-Wish Colorado in support of its mission to bring hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses. Through the Knocking Out Wishes fundraising campaign, our clinicians and teams across the Greater Denver area came together to raise more than $7,000 to help make life-changing wishes possible. Recently, USAP's Maryland team hosted a Focused Advanced Airway Management Workshop, bringing together 40 attendees for a comprehensive educational experience that included pre-course didactics, live educational sessions, hands-on airway labs, small-group simulations, and an ORsim VR - Flexible Intubation Contest. Led by several USAP clinicians, the workshop provided attendees with valuable opportunities to strengthen their airway management skills, learn from experienced anesthesia professionals, and apply their knowledge in realistic clinical scenarios. USAP North Texas recently partnered with Catch Up & Read, a literacy nonprofit focused on helping children in underserved communities strengthen their reading skills through access to educational resources. During the organization’s “Stuff the Bag” service project, our North Texas corporate team assembled 1,200 literacy bags filled with books, bookmarks, notepads, pens, and other school supplies to help students stay engaged in reading throughout the summer. The bags included 600 English language kits and 600 Spanish language kits and will be distributed during Catch Up & Read’s Reading Rallies throughout the month. USAP's Kelly Lock, CRNA, with our Maryland team, knows that caring for labor and delivery patients is more than a clinical responsibility, it's personal. As a mother of three, Kelly understands the emotions that can come with childbirth and the vulnerability many women experience during the process. Her own experiences receiving anesthesia during labor inspired her to provide the same reassurance and support to the patients she cares for today.
