USAP’s Dr. Jeffrey Hobelmann shared the first two qualities that drew him to USAP: the flexibility to practice in areas that showcase his strengths, and the opportunity for clinicians to grow as leaders. The final quality? Geography—the flexibility to work close to home and maintain a great work-life balance. Work-life balance is especially important in a high-impact field like anesthesia. At USAP, we understand the importance of not only centering your patients, but also making time for your family, friends, and personal life. If you’re looking for a supportive environment where you can grow your career, make an impact, and maintain a healthy work-life balance, USAP is the place for you. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K celebrating its 35th anniversary! We’re especially proud of CRNAs Tony Morales and Glory Valdez, corporate team member Madeline Horvath, and Ben Zein, who had the opportunity to run through the heart of Austin alongside more than 30,000 runners who took part in this year’s event. Their participation also supported meaningful community institutions, including Dell Children's Medical Center and the historic Paramount Theatre. We celebrate their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to making a positive impact on and off the course. #USAPCares #Anesthesia #Community

At USAP, we make it a priority to intentionally invest in the future of anesthesia. Four CRNAs from our Central Texas team, Sabina Anwar, Allie Edgerly, Hartini Gellang, and Richy Lyttle, returned to their alma mater, @LonghornNursing, to host a hands-on CRNA simulation day for students. More than 50 students participated, gaining practical experience with intubation and neuraxial simulations and joining a Q&A to learn about the path to becoming a CRNA and the autonomy and scope of the profession. A special thank you to Richy Lyttle, as his simulation day has grown into a truly special experience, inspiring the next generation of CRNAs year after year. We couldn’t be any prouder of our Austin team for mentoring students and representing USAP. #USAP #Anesthesia #CRNA #Healthcare

As we kick off Women's History Month, we proudly honor Alice Magaw, known as the "Mother of Anesthesia." Born in 1850, Magaw worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Her pioneering techniques and meticulous research were instrumental in advancing anesthesia practices, making surgery safer and more effective. She is credited with developing the concept of "balanced anesthesia," which significantly improved patient outcomes and reduced surgical risks. At the turn of the 20th century, anesthesia often meant large doses of ether or chloroform with minimal monitoring. Magaw rejected this approach and instead used lower doses of ether, carefully titrated to patient response. Her commitment to patient care and innovative spirit set the stage for modern anesthesia. At U.S. Anesthesia Partners, we recognize the vital role that Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) play in delivering safe, quality care across the nation. Our CRNAs embody the legacy of Alice Magaw, continually advancing the field with their expertise and compassion. Today, we celebrate the dedication and skill of our CRNAs—both men and women—who work tirelessly to ensure patient safety and comfort. Your commitment to excellence inspires us all and reflects the ideals of leadership and teamwork that are essential to our mission. #WomensHistoryMonth #Anesthesia #CRNAs #USAP #HealthcareHeroes
