Harriet and I welcomed friends from the Christian community for an early Easter celebration. It was an opportunity to reflect on the sacred message of Christ’s resurrection, one of hope and renewal, that lies at the heart of this holy season.

Great to meet with Linda Cook from @Harbourenergy to hear more about how they support a secure, reliable, and affordable energy supply to the UK. We need all forms of energy, including oil and gas, so the UK can meet its growth agenda.

Last night, Harriet and I officially welcomed our Deputy Chief of Mission Robert W. Thomas to London with a reception at Winfield House. Robert has a wealth of experience as a diplomat, and I am delighted to have him on my team as we work to deliver @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump’s goals and deepen the U.S.-UK relationship.

It was a pleasure welcoming to London @UnderSecE Jacob Helberg and @USCTO47 U.S. Chief Technology Officer Ethan Klein.  We focused our discussion on the U.S. - UK coordination regarding AI, quantum technology, and critical minerals. Ensuring our countries are closely aligned on future technologies is vital for international security and safety.

The National Museum Cardiff has remarkable Impressionist works bequeathed to Amgueddfa Cymru by the Davies sisters, who amassed one of the finest British art collections of the 20th century. Harriet and I also enjoyed the exhibition of the Welsh artist Gwen John. Though often overlooked by critics during her lifetime, it was an American collector, John Quinn, who recognized her talent and supported her until his death.

Harriet and I very much enjoyed our tour of @cardiff_castle, one of Wales's most iconic sites. Every room has a theme that tells part of its remarkable history. Touring the castle's famous tunnels, which were used as air raid shelters during WWII, was a sobering reminder of our countries’ shared sacrifice. Thank you to the Lord Mayor, Councillor Adrian Robson, the Lady Mayoress, Councillor Jayne Cowan, and Curators Erfyl Parry and Major Mark Evans, for welcoming us.

Thanks to @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, the zero-tariff framework for civil aviation has ensured meaningful two-way trade and job creation between the U.S. and UK. Harriet and I toured @GE_Aerospace’s Nantgarw impressive site to hear more about their state-of-the-art facilities and long-term commitment to the UK.

Harriet and I were delighted to make our first trip to Wales. We visited Vishay, a U.S.-based semiconductor manufacturer that has a $330+ million facility supporting over 500 high-tech jobs. It is part of an impressive “cluster” of companies and universities in the manufacturing supply chain.

At the @BritishChambers Driving International Trade Conference, I spoke about how we can protect and deepen the U.S.-UK business and trading relationship. The potential benefits to our people and our businesses are huge, but we must see the sustained delivery and implementation needed to give businesses the confidence to invest here.

Harriet and I were honored to attend the installation service of @ArchbishopSarah at the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral. On behalf of the United States, congratulations to Dame Sarah Mullally on making history as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury. May God bless her and guide her as she serves the Anglican Church.

Met with @JLR_News CEO PB Balaji to hear how Jaguar Land Rover is recovering from the major cyberattack last year. Faster implementation of the Economic Prosperity Deal announced by @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump and Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer will greatly benefit companies like JLR as well as consumers and workers in both our countries.

U.S. companies are driving global innovation in AI technology and set the benchmark for responsible, secure, and effective deployment. Today, I met with @Oracle CEO Mike Sicilia to discuss their $5 billion investment in the UK and work to modernize digital systems for the British government.

I am appalled by last night’s antisemitic attack on the four ambulances in London. Although these ambulances belonged to a Jewish volunteer emergency service, they provide critical assistance to all residents of London regardless of their religious association. There should be no tolerance for religious hatred of any kind, and the antisemitic perpetrators of this hate crime must face the full extent of the law. I applaud the swift response of the UK government officials and their commitment to punish those responsible for this cowardly act.

.@EconClubNY is a great organization, which for over a century has been dedicated to promoting free and open discussions. A pleasure to welcome them to the Embassy, where we had a wide ranging conversation on U.S.-UK relations, economics, and global politics.

Met with Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland @AndrewBowie_MP to discuss the deep ties between the United States and Scotland and our shared economic priorities.

Ensuring that cross-border investments are secure is a key priority of @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump’s Administration. Today, I met with @USTreasury Assistant Secretary Chris Pilkerton and his team about their focus on implementing a customer-friendly process in the Office of Investment Security as well as his plan to deepen the U.S.-UK cooperation on investment security.

I met with MP @Nigel_Farage at the Embassy to hear his perspectives on the current status of the U.S.-UK relationship. Nigel has great respect for @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump and the United States. He is particularly fond of the Trump administration’s unwavering commitment to peace through strength. I look forward to working with Nigel to advance the security and prosperity of our countries.

The resurgence of antisemitism across the world is of great concern to the United States. I met with @chiefrabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis, to reaffirm our shared commitment to standing together against hatred and prejudice wherever they arise.

It was a pleasure hosting @IsraelinUK Chargé  d’affaires Daniela Grudsky Ekstein. In our meeting, I reiterated @POTUS @realDonaldTrump's unwavering support for Israel, and we discussed the exceptional collaboration between our two countries.

Vandalizing the statue of Winston Churchill is a disgrace. He was one of Britain's greatest leaders who stood firm against tyranny so that fundamental freedoms, such as the right to protest, endure today. We should not dishonor the memory of those who protected our liberty.
