Was great to join my friend, @sebastiankurz, at RAISE in Paris this week. AI is transforming the global economy—the question is how we decrease the cost of intelligence production. It starts with industrial capacity and a leveled playing field. The inputs of intelligence have skyrocketed in price, while U.S. models compete with free versions of their stolen software. Addressing both requires strategic engagement with partners, and under @SecRubio’s leadership, @StateDept is leading the way.

The more AI becomes part of our daily lives and a strategic asset for governments, the more it becomes a matter of national interest. At a time when the transatlantic debate on AI has become increasingly complex, I was especially pleased to exchange views today in Paris with my good friend @jacobhelberg, U.S. Under Secretary of Economic Affairs, in a panel moderated by @smatthes, Editor-in-Chief of @handelsblatt, on the geopolitical implications of AI, economic competitiveness, and national security.
