We’re pleased to announce that the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation has awarded a $1.5 million grant to the USC Price School to develop new tools for measuring how effectively Los Angeles County delivers public services. The 18-month project led by Professor David Brady and Research Assistant Professor Jared Schachner will engage community members, county leaders, and USC research centers to create transparent performance measures that strengthen accountability and improve outcomes for residents across the county. Dentist and USC Price Master of Health Administration student Mohammad Pirouzan believes healthier communities begin by recognizing the connection between human health and the environment. When Allison Parra arrived at USC, she wasn't sure she belonged. By the time she graduated with a psychology degree, she had rebuilt USC's rugby program, developed as a leader through @USCArmyROTC and embraced challenges that pushed her beyond what she thought was possible. Today, she leads a platoon of 33 soldiers after completing one of the U.S. Army's most demanding leadership courses—a journey she says began with the confidence and mentorship she found at USC.
