It's a neat discovery by University of Saskatchewan students Kaitlin and Jack who are doing palaeontology research with us. While searching for crocodile fossils near Estevan, they found amber in one of the coal seams.

My family found this many years ago on the farm. It’s about 12”x12”x18” and weighs about 80lbs. Definitely heavier than it should for a stone that same size. It’s non-magnetic but still could be some sort of non-ferrous metal slag? @USaskGeoSci any guesses? #geology #rocks
