Astronomers are closer than ever to understanding how water arrived on Earth. Dr. Tom Megeath, a UToledo astronomy professor, co-authored recent research that provides a key insight into the mystery. He will now lead a project using the James Webb Space Telescope to advance this work. myut.link/dli

Harshil Kothari, a UToledo Ph.D. student in astrophysics, is working to improve how scientists study atmospheres on distant worlds – a key part of the search for life beyond Earth. His NASA-funded project, awarded through the highly competitive FINESST program, aims to make planetary data from telescopes like Webb more accurate and reliable. myut.link/j2z
