Many Huskies are getting antsy for transition to adidas on July 1st. Here's a look back to @UW_Football's Nike uniforms. In 1996, Huskies began wearing Nike jerseys. The pants did not change & were still Russell. Was the last year w/o gold outlining. 1st year w/o sleeve stripes.

This is the exact BS that led to the early 2000s "rejection of retro". AKA the worst era for sports jerseys, probably ever. You don't need to mess with everything just because it's old.

I also love the NFL - almost as much as college football. But what I like is how different they are from one another. Turning college football into the NFL but without the contracts, talent, skill, scheduling precision, and network programming precision defeats the whole point

The on-campus game experience is college football’s best and most unique feature. No other sport, college or pro, has anything remotely like that If we’re just going play these games in a sterile, domed neutral site that fans hate, then what the hell is the point of this sport?

There is a wave of people looking at college football the exact wrong way They know it is America’s 2nd most watched sport and assume it needs to become more like #1 They’re like NASCAR execs who chased casual fans by taking races away from their diehard core in the Southeast

What a beautiful Celebration of Life for former @UW_Football and @NFL great Doug Martin. I have not attended a service people have genuinely spoke nicer about a person. Doug was truly loved and respected by his brother George Martin and his UW teammates. May he #RIP🙏🏾
