Last year at National Conference, we passed a motion calling out these socials and mandated @nusuk to publicly condemn antisemitic incidents. As an NEC member, I’m disappointed that just one member of the leadership has shown solidarity with the Jewish community.

Once again we have seen a white t-shirt social at a university descend into antisemitsm. This time students at Leicester thought it appropriate to write “I am a Nazi” and “Hitler wanted me alive” on their clothing.

NUS Officers were pleased to receive their Antisemitism training last week, led by @UJS_UK, after conference passed this motion in May. We’re now happy to share that UJS can offer this Antisemitism training for our members and SUs. Please contact info@ujs.co.uk to arrange!

I came to Manchester for #CPC19. I had every intention of proudly representing millions of students across our country. However, as President of @nusuk and a Muslim woman I cannot in good conscience participate in a Conference that openly denies the existence of Islamophobia.
