Professor Tinjum's CEE/GLE 532 Foundations class got their hands dirty during a field trip to the Dane County Solar Farm last month. The visit included a geotechnical investigation to gather data and soil samples for a semester-long project the students are working on.

Students, faculty, and staff met with the GLE Board of Visitors (BoV) ahead of homecoming last week to discuss news, research, projects, and more. The BoV meets twice a year to support and guide the GLE program and students. Thanks to the team (pictured below) for their service!

🏗️ Internships bring Elyse Miramontes (left, Mortenson) and Truely Wallhaus (right, JP Cullen) together on top of a tower crane. Both of them are students at UW-Madison, with Elyse studying construction engineering and management and Truely majoring in geological engineering.

GLE alumna, Madison Zepnick, has received the 2021 Bezalel Haimson award for her outstanding performance as a GLE bachelor's student here at UW. Madison graduated in 2021 and is now channeling these experiences into her current position as a Staff Engineer for @westwoodps
