@JoseDominio @jay_h3nry most of Rousey's fights weren't against high-level competition. Women's MMA was still very shallow in the talent pool. The only times Rousey fought against proven strikers she got destroyed. Carano could have lit her up standing, she practically gave her the takedown

@jay_h3nry Most of Rousey's fights were like this. In her prime she had 9 submission wins in under a minute. Less than 20 seconds was her signature.

Work or shoot? That was sad. Just sad. Armbar happened immediately. Both just got a bag but this was the saddest MMA main event in history. Ronda Rousey destroyed Carano. They will forever be legends nonetheless #RouseyCarano

@jay_h3nry I'm starting to lean towards work. Rousey seems like the type that can't move on from getting demolished twice to end her career and needed a win for her ego. This gave Gina a "goal" to help her with the weight loss. Plus $$$ speaks volumes.

@alaudhli Was I wrong in expecting more from Carano? Being an old-school MMA fan I saw the buildup and eventual crash landing of both these women. Both these fighters have serious flaws in their game but I really didn't thing Rousey would take Gina down that fast.
