@SiMBA_team thank you so much for your time today at the #Midwiferyfestival. We learnt so much about the amazing work you do and will definitely be going back to our trusts with lots of questions about how we can best support our families. Thank you for everything you do ❤️

It's safer sleep week. As midwives of the future we have a duty to educate ourselves and help women and their families to make informed, evidence based choices around sleep. @tommys is a great source of info for safer sleep advice. #SaferSleepWeek #SIDS #parenting
North West Ambulance Service@NWAmbulance

It's Safer Sleep Week. SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is when a baby dies suddenly, and no cause of death is found. It claims the lives of 230 babies every year. Unfortunately, we attend several deaths every year, which could have been prevented due to unsafe sleeping.

What better thing to celebrate today than the hormone of lurrrve...oxytocin! Did you know it's contagious? If you're calm, loving and relaxed you'll have a positive impact on the oxytocin levels of the woman or birthing person you are caring for 🥰🥰🥰

Research supported by UCLan has found an alarming number of mothers were induced for uncomplicated births at increasingly earlier gestations, resulting in higher intervention and poorer outcomes for mothers and their newborns. uclan.ac.uk/news/induction…
