Here's everything about Pharos you need to know before the crowd figures it out Pharos closed a $44M Series A today, April 8. that brings total funding to $52M including the $8M seed from Hack VC and Lightspeed Faction back in November 2024 the new round was led by a group they're keeping partially undisclosed. what they did confirm: Sumitomo Corporation's CVC arm is in. Chainlink is in. Flow Traders is in. SNZ Holding is in. the rest are described as major Asia-based private equity funds, publicly traded renewable energy companies, and regulated Hong Kong financial institutions one name that leaked earlier in March: GCL New Energy, a solar and energy storage giant listed on HKEX. they invested around $24M at a valuation close to $1B and are co-piloting solar-backed RWAs with Pharos. the Pharos Foundation also picked up a 10.71% stake in GCL to support data asset tokenization. that's not a typical VC-to-startup relationship, that's a strategic bet going both directions on the technical side. most blockchains process transactions one after another or with basic parallelism at the execution layer.
