@godhateskyle In VGC at least, games tend to go much faster compared to singles, so 5 turns of screens could very reasonably last for a very good chunk of the match, if not lasting for the rest of it. And that's assuming it doesn't go up twice.

@D3m0nz Veil being an option is still great even if it doesn't run it all the time, especially on a pokémon with that kinda speed.

@UltimateViolet I dont wanna be that guy but I dont think Veil is gonna be good on it. Its fine yeah but you kinda lose out on alot of value cause not being able to hold light clay. But I do love the ability! Super excited to try it out for sure.

@RealGnomes I'm sure ATales will still be good outside of formats with Megas. The only real snow setting options besides it are Abomasnow and Vanilluxe. Even then, I imagine all of them could see use.

@AlolanGreninja @mecha_vividley Even outside of niche but cool interactions like speed boosting Kartana, Trick Room in general is also noticably nerfed by it and in general it removes a fair bit of skill expression from higher level players.

@UltimateViolet @mecha_vividley Yeah, especially since alot of pokemon are essentially bound to the limits of champions instead of your own freedom. Certain sets like beast boost speed kartana are impossible now sadly :/

pokemon champions is like if someone at game freak watched one game on pokemon showdown and thought "damn what if this was actually abysmal dogshit"

i think nfe pokemon aren't in champions rn because there is only a handful of them that are good compared to how much extra work it'd be to add them all and they probably don't wanna single out specific nfe mons so its either all or none and they chose none

@AlolanGreninja @mecha_vividley Iirc you can still transfer already trained Pokémon into Champions through Home Removing IVs is undoubtedly lame though I agree

@mecha_vividley Removing IVs, no confirmation of 6v6 singles, changing how mega evolution works (activating before switching), not every pokemon is in, and you have to build them IN-game as opposed to being able to transfer already trained pokemon to Champions. Its so horrible 😭😭
