Keys to making my ND brain happy: overstimulation whilst needing to be awake & at peak performance, constant podcast in the background whilst needing to be awake & somewhat functional, & letting it drive my sleep/wake cycle when being awake isn't a requirement.

My hospital isn't allowing any OT this week because apparently 5 nurses to staff 36 beds is a perfectly acceptable ratio. 🙃

Attention Nurses: If you want an in depth 30-minute report, be ready to begin taking report 30 minutes before the prior shift ends. Doesn't matter what shift, no one's time is more valuable than anyone else's.

@swoonganz I plan to, I just can't decide where. I was seriously considering shadowing in the ED but COVID is getting bad again so a big part of me just wants to leave bedside altogether and do OR or something similar.

My hospital currently has open positions for ED, ICU, L&D, and NICU. So done with my unit & with MedSurg that I'm half tempted to apply to all of them and just see which one bites.
