@PhysicsSteve @insideqm Sounds a really nice idea! It could be interesting to have them released with some editorial commentary to pick up on common themes, or perhaps expanding on references or giving interviewees the chance to include footnotes or similar to add context or further information?

Hey, so...would there be any interest in having a version of the @insideqm written transcripts compiled into 'book' format and released (for free) on arXiv, Kindle and other ebook platforms? 🤔 We'd need permission from all participants and it'd be a big job...but doable...!

I’ve been struggling to get work out of my mind on holiday - but we managed to find a very nice distraction with a 23 mile cycle round Rutland water - we even spotted a couple of ospreys!

I’m not sure there’s anything more satisfying than beating the National Rail estimate for crossing London by underground and (just!) making an earlier train than planned 😄

@QETLabsBristol @carolinehclark This workshop was great, thank you so much! Caroline’s talk raised a lot of interesting points to consider on the importance of individual actions as well as institutional responsibilities. And the discussion groups were so interesting, I think we could have discussed for hours!

Before lunch, we held an ED&I workshop. We started with an introduction talk from @carolinehclark, before breaking off into groups to discuss its impact in our field.

I loved the venue, it was nice to be reminded of the sunlight outside!Having the talks, posters and coffee in one big room made it feel very relaxed, and so easy to have a lot of informal conversations throughout the day.

I’ve had an amazing time at #BQIT:23 and am sorry to be leaving early! A beautiful venue, great range of speakers and posters about so many different aspects of quantum technologies, and a really interesting EDI session. Thanks so much to the organisers!

I had an amazing time today giving a presentation for the #BQIT tutorial day @QETLabsBristol - a super engaged audience and brilliant questions! Such a great idea to have a day for students to meet each other and learn topics in more depth before the conference.

I’ve loved the space provided by @lorentzcenter for the quantum sensing workshop this week - our own offices for small meetings and quiet working, and tea, coffee and snacks all day in a common room with blackboard space. So great for collaboration and informal discussions!

@BetsonShaun I hope you enjoy your day off! The boat trip was great, there were some lovely views over the countryside and a lot of interesting birds!

@UltracoldTiff You might have lost your hat. 🌬👒 I do like a boat trip. Really looking forward to a day off now.

Lovely workshop dinner and boat tour this evening, it was a perfect break in the middle of the week! But I wish I’d brought a hat - perhaps should have realised a country famous for windmills 🇳🇱 might be windy…
