@Needungo @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan You won't even find many recent examples of white actors taking on roles that weren't originally white apperance. the 1998 movie Men in Black, where Agent J was originally a white character but was later changed to Black.

@Uma1488 @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan As many? As in numbers of times its happened? Debateable. Whole page i gave you. Do your research and figure it out before making that claim. Its only reasonable. It may seem that way because whites specifcally the right are a vocal minority. As i mentioned. Whitewashing is older

@Uma1488 @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan Jamal Afari being swapped by a white man was never criticized. In fact it was praised. In my og post. Many examples like that were common in the past. Normalized by white ppl. Karma. Did i justify it? Nope. The time to complain was than. In an elseworld story. Doesnt matter.

@Needungo @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan Right, so you're bringing up an example that was heavily criticized for race-swapping back then to prove what, exactly? To justify the messy race-swapping of white characters happening now? You dummy.

@Needungo @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan "By your logic, the Elves in The Lord of the Rings movies being played by white people should also be called race-swapping, because none of the Elves' races in The Lord of the Rings are actually 'white,' you idiot.

@Uma1488 @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan I think you fail to understand any point being made here. Youre taking the discussion elsewhere. One is history being altered and the other is fiction in an elseworld story. Do you understand the difference? Turks also have greek ancestory. Would prefer a greek actor anyway.

@Needungo @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan Ra's clearly has a white face. Even if his race is Middle Eastern, if they cast a Latino with pale skin, black hair, and blue eyes to play him, that still wouldn't be race-swapping

@Needungo @CarolinaDe60710 @hayasaka_aryan For example, Helen of Troy in The Odyssey is Greek/white. If they cast a Turkish person who has features nearly identical to a white person and very pale skin, that doesn't count as race-swapping. But if they cast a Black person, then it becomes race-swapping. Do you get it now?
