@fcbmessiaddict Yes, because whole Argentine squad acted like thugs. No grace in winning or losing. Maybe change the way you behave and learn some humility and you will regain the respect.
English

I’m not defending what Paredes did, it was honestly stupid.
What I don’t understand is why people never made this kind of fuss over the years about players like Roy Keane, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Rüdiger, Casemiro, Carvajal, Chiellini, Gattuso, Diego Costa, Gabi, Koke, or Materazzi?
Is the outrage only different because Paredes happens to wear an Argentina shirt?

English

@claudiamartin93 It was easier for Spain to not provoked because they were thrashing em on the field and could smell Argentine's desperation
English

No entraron ni a una puta provocación durante los 120 minutos.
Mi admiración hacia ellos no tiene límites. 🇪🇦❤️⭐⭐

@InternetH0F MAGA assholes losing their shit and taking "break even" numbers out of their salty asses
English

@BasedDickbutt69 @_jewsWRLD @InternetH0F It will go above $1b dumbass. Also inflation wasn't 100% over past 2 years. $250m in 2024 isn't worth 700m today lol
English

@_jewsWRLD @InternetH0F I don't know if it will. It's Thursday a week after opening weekend. There's anywhere from a 50% to 70% drop off in viewership after a week.
English

@Engr_Neville @Footballtweet The coach was talking about 1 squad. This squad has pretty much won everything at national level.
English

@Umaixer @Footballtweet One squad or one nation? There is a subtle difference between the two terms.
English

🇪🇸 Luis de la Fuente after winning the World Cup with Spain:
🗣️ “After the match, my players said to me: ‘We’ve won everything, at every level. What is left for us to win now?'” 🏆
🚨 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: They have won the U17 EUROs, U19 EUROs, the senior European Championships, Nations League and the World Cup. 🤯

English

@Engr_Neville @Footballtweet One squad winning everything ? How many have done that ?
English

@Footballtweet There are still other records that the Spaniards are yet to beat. Some of the national teams have won the under 17s, the Euros and the senior world Cup several times over. So, why are they being lippy or mouthy about the laurels they've already won?
English

@ElCerebr0 @Messsiesque Argentine ceying about rigging? Gosh, most delusional nation on earth
English

@Messsiesque They won because WE handed it to them bro. Politics got involved and we were threatened with 10 year suspension. To make it worse they humiliated us for it, red card, 2 CB injures?? No shots, stealing all Messi records golden ball, golden Boot and most assists. They did us dirty
English

@breathMessi21 Only fishy thing about the final was that how the hell this Argentine team reached the final. They were so shite.
English

@8bdrssss The strongest people are the one who get hurt most of the times from inside
Warrior like Licha and player like Enzo with those faces doesn't sit right something's definitely sus
English

Something happened inside that Argentina dressing room.
You cannot convince me this was just “final nerves.”
They arrived at the stadium smiling.
Then they emerged completely different.
Enzo looked close to tears.
Licha had sadness written all over his face.
Paredes looked furious.
Messi kept repeating: “Stay calm. Forget everything. Let's just play”
Just play and not WIN?😧
And then Argentina produced one of their most lifeless, disconnected performances under Scaloni.
Argentina can lose to Spain. Spain are an exceptional team.
But Argentina do not suddenly forget how to press, compete and suffer together especially in a World Cup final.
Maybe we will never know what was said behind those doors.
But those faces, Messi’s words and the performance that followed make it feel like something much bigger happened before kick-off. 🇦🇷💔
English

@NoodleHairCR7 This Argentine team didn't deserve to be in the final at all. Spain and France shouldn't have met in the semis
English

@RobH61538163430 @MeghanMcCain That $11b stat is from 2010 to 2022 dumbass. Learn to read

@appiecule If Messi had showed some class in the final, maybe he would have got it. He tried to get Cucurella a red card by accusing him of insulting him with racist remarks. Messi should be embarrassed

Giving Rodri the World Cup Golden Ball over Messi wasn’t deserved—not even by 10%. And before you jump into the comments with the usual arguments, remember that many of you rejected Rodri’s Ballon d’Or over Vinícius Jr. You might want to rethink your position.
Rodri is the heartbeat of Spain’s system, no doubt about it. But you can’t hand him the tournament’s best player award based mainly on his performances in the semifinal and final.
Meanwhile, another player performed at an extraordinary level from the opening game all the way to the semifinal, often carrying his team almost single-handedly (with the exception of the semifinal, when his teammates stepped up as well).
There’s also a huge difference in the strength of the two national teams, yet that wasn’t properly taken into account. Neither was individual performance.
This isn’t about statistics alone.
Rodri is incredibly important and influential to his team. Messi is just as essential—arguably even more so. Not simply because of goals or assists, but because of everything he means to his team. Both are the heart of their sides, but Messi had the added edge of consistently deciding games.
Since the award ultimately went to a player from the finalists, the comparison is straightforward.
I honestly don’t know what they were thinking by giving it to Rodri.
For me, Lionel Messi deserved the World Cup Golden Ball without a second thought. ⛔️
