Yesterday our Uncas Band had a showcase for all students…aka future musicians! Tonight they displayed their talents to our families! What a performance! So proud of our talented musicians! Thank you Mr. Santoro! @norwichps

A special visit by Spider-Man and Wolfie to our Uncas staff today. They delivered afternoon snacks and drinks to our hard working teachers and staff…Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!!! Thank You Teachers! AWOOO!!!! @norwichps

Recognizing our Wolves of the Month at our Den Meetings!!! We also reviewed how to show Gratitude and introduced our Gratitude Challenge for the month of May! We Choose Love at Uncas!!! @norwichps

Uncas Wolves kindergarteners were hard at work today celebrating the 100th day of school! A Math-filled day was had by all!!!

The Uncas Wolf Pack were a bunch of turkeys today! Instead of a Pack we were a “Turkey Rafter/Flock” Happy Thanksgiving to all! #wearenorwich @norwichps

Our teachers and coaches have been working hard with TCRWP at creating “tools” for Readers and Writers Workshop. I also saw some awesome anchor charts and other visuals that support our readers…including one for this time of year! Awesome work Wolfpack!

Couldn’t think of a better way to end October and start a new week than to recognize our Student of the Month at a Den Meeting! We also discussed “Safety”as part of showing our PAWS, especially tonight when going out to trick or treat. Be safe wolves!

Uncas Trunk or Treat is on! Book Fair is open! What a great Saturday morning! Costumes, candy, and books!!!

Congratulations to the 2021-22 Uncas Elementary Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Darcy Strauss! Her colleagues and students surprised her with the news today! Darcy, your students are lucky to have you as their teacher, and we are lucky to call you a colleague!

To close out Teacher Appreciation Week, Wolfie brought his sidekick, The Blue Power Ranger to deliver “Superhero Snacks” to the superhero teachers and staff at Uncas! Thank you for all of your hard work!

So awesome to have our "Den Meetings" again where we reviewed how we can show our "PAWS" at Uncas! There was even a special guest to help us remember to be Present, show a positive Attitude, make Wise Choices, and to be Safe. Thanks Wolfie!

More pictures from the "zoo" visit today...our 1st graders filled out their animal passbooks with lots of information, then were able to enjoy some animal crackers! Awesome way to spend the day before spring break!
