@arvofart He's someone i respect as a filmmaker more than I actually like for the most part.
I don't fuck with most of his movies, but I'm glad they exist, I'm glad he gets to make the films he wants to make.
That said I gotta rewatch Halloween II I hated it when I was young but 🤷♂️

As for Zombie, I like a few of his albums and he seems like a fun guy to grab a beer with, but he doesn’t have the chops as a filmmaker. A lot of people on here love The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween II, and I wish I agreed tbh. Even then, those were a long time ago

I wish people would just leave this franchise alone. The 1974 original is a peerless, lighting-in-a-bottle classic that nobody’s been able to replicate. TCM 2 is a fun, wacky black comedy. Everything else is varying shades of garbage

@alleywaykrew I'd be a lot more okay with the excessive green screens used today if they looked even HALF as good as these movie, Sky Captain, or Speed Racer.
They use digital sets/cinematography as a distinct stylistic choice, to create images almost impossible in the real world.

Sin City was released 21 years ago today. The film was shot almost entirely on green screen, with sets, backgrounds, and even lighting styles added digitally to match the exact look of Frank Miller’s graphic novel panels.
