anyone know any SoCal based content creators that would be potentially interested in attending a screening of a horror comedy slasher film? We are self distributing so i have reached the “desperately ask the internet for help” stage of desperation.

@TheMG3D is that… supposed to be satire? My brain cannot wrap around someone writing those words and posting that unironically

@RDesmond198 @thatstarwarsgrl @rianjohnson Also, for all of the ways I don’t think TLJ works, I’m actually completely fine with Luke’s characterization and arc. People being this mad about it in 2025 actually makes the lightsaber throw even funnier.
English

@thatstarwarsgrl @rianjohnson You know there’s more to life than hating filmmakers that much. I don’t think you do. Be well. Star Wars is just a bunch of films, okay? Understand?
English

8 years ago today we all witnessed the complete bastardization of Luke Skywalker.. @rianjohnson there’s a special place in hell for assholes like you🖕

@RDesmond198 Oh yes! We have been following this news as well. Definitely interested in seeing it, especially since it doesn’t appear to be found footage.
English

@UncleMikki remember when I made you watch Milk and Serial? Curry Barker, the writer, director of that film, just had his new horror feature debuted at TIFF. Pretty cool. Would love a review when the time comes.
English

@DAN_LOTZ Also, a lot of filmmakers don’t understand, and don’t want to understand social media. Just ignore them, you’ve been doing a good job!
English

@DAN_LOTZ Hope my recent comment wasn’t taken negatively, I commented on the video where you referred to yourself as ‘the worst content creator ever” and said that you could never be that because we exist. 100% meant that as a dig on how terrible we are.
English

@UncleMikki you were right about Milk and Serial, well spotted. See, this is why you’ve earned my patron money! Much respect 👌🏻👏❤️

We watched The Critical Drinkers movie. He’s a professional writer so it’s probably really good right?

@RDesmond198 @alecwry Totally understand, Richard! We are so grateful for the support that you have given us. We are also sorry we have been so disappointing lately
English

@UncleMikki @alecwry I will return to you guys on patreon once your feature film stuff is done and you can get back to consistent content. No hard feelings. Thanks.
English

@RDesmond198 @alecwry we will prioritize getting stuff out in the coming weeks. We are very sorry for how quiet things have been. We will make it up to you
English

@RDesmond198 @alecwry Yes! We have been terrible, the pipes are once again extremely clogged. Between making sure that everything is delivered correctly for the coming festival and another secret project that we haven’t announced yet we’ve fallen far behind.
English

@RDesmond198 @the And that just never gets brought up again XD
English

@UncleMikki I hope it grows on you all. I saw a clip where Cade is on his way to a fundraiser @the start and for no reason, gets hit by a tram. Amazing!
English

@UncleMikki "we're done - we're done - we-re done" was my twisted pair quote, in regards to me wanting Cade the tortured crossing to be No. 1, knowing you guys didn't like it. I couldn't help messing with you. I actually liked it...in my own "twisted" way. haha.
English

@HearsePileup I am in the same boat, the “dated” hand-crafted effects of the 70s are infinitely more awe inspiring to me than anything the can add with CG. I am by no means a CG hater, but the real sets, miniatures, and puppets are what make the world feel like a tactile place you can go to
English

@UncleMikki (And I grew up wearing out the spindles on the Special Edition VHS box set. The work ILM did on that film are a large part of why I have such an appreciation for cinema and physical special effects today. I honestly don't know how many times I watched all three as a kid)
English

@HearsePileup The de-specialized editions are the only way of watching Star Wars IMO. What inspired this tweet was actually watching the versions on D+ for the first time and feeling like so much of what made the films special is gone.
