@buzzilinear When Trudeau wins with 39% it’s called a resounding majority and clear mandate to govern. When a conservative wins 53% it’s close and deeply polarizing.

Harm reduction saves lives. Today I joined Moms Stop The Harm (@momsstoptheharm) to denounce the Conservative misinformation campaign about safe supply. Pierre Poilievre is perpetuating harmful stigma about people who use drugs for his petty political agenda - it needs to stop.

@AlixG_2 I’ve always loved the badlands (Drumheller), or Rocky Mountain House. Both are amazing in different ways.

@Anthony__Koch It demonstrates that conservatives can only win as conservatives. Kenny was on his way to loosing, the PC party was shut out for years and only could win after joining with the real conservative reform party.

Congratulations to Premier @ABDanielleSmith and the @Alberta_UCP on bringing home a resounding victory. Last night Albertans rejected the woke NDP-Liberal coalition and instead voted to fight the carbon tax, stand up for our energy sector and unleash the full potential of Alberta's economy.

@EScrimshaw NDP, obviously didn't do enough. That's obvious -they lost. But,you may be being a trifle too hard on them. Was this election ever really 'winnable' for them? Was an electotate who voted for someone who called 78% of voters "sheep, who would've followed Hitler" really reachable?

As for my prediction, Poilievre won't win, I still haven't changed that as Ontario is quite different from Alberta and they are very risk averse so while he could win, I think his path to victory much tougher but not impossible.

Here are my thoughts on Alberta election. Disappointed yes, but will have more analysis when I get home on the weekend and over jet lag. One thing seems to be Conservative vote is pretty solid as UCP didn't drop that much, but third party vote almost all went NDP

@CanadianPolling Extremely unfortunate but it is what it is. If Poilievre wins in 2025 Alberta's healthcare is surely going to get privatized which is a scary thought but I guess what are you supposed to expect from one of the most Conservative provinces in Canada.
