Hard to find the words following this tragedy, but Wes Rucker was one of a kind and always respectful. A proud husband, father and member of our media, I’ll miss seeing his familiar face throughout the year. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

The outpouring of support for Wes Rucker (@wesruckerTBA) has been incredible. From friends and fans to the tribute from @Vol_Baseball on Friday night, the love has been overwhelming.
Wes was a gifted storyteller, someone who had a rare ability to connect people through words and perspective. Even though you couldn’t physically see him at the ballpark, you could absolutely feel his presence.
And make no mistake, Wes’ story isn’t over. This is just a painful chapter in a much bigger journey.

Wes Rucker truly was a warrior.
He survived a nearly fatal stroke that forced him to relearn how to walk.
He became an incredible father to his own little warrior, Hank, who’s endured more kidney surgeries than years of life.
All that, for his life to be taken on a typical drive home from work.
Hold your family tight tonight, and please…pray for the Rucker family! 🙏🕊️
