@RolltheredDev Appreciate the reply. That's pretty good, better than I expected for external! Those new ones have got real good. I imagine it isn't really important for VR since you're not staring at the OBS preview. I had to disable buffering in OBS to get my 4K60 down to ~63ms latency.

@Uncle_Skeleton I would say its still noticeable. It feels like maybe 1 / 5th of a second of delay. Just enough for audio sync but still not something you would want to use as an obs preview window.

Got an Elgato 4k X now. Will report back how well it works out in VRChat later.

@RolltheredDev I'm curious, what is the latency like on something like this for capturing high res & hz content? I got the 4K60 Pro Mk2 they used to sell because I imagined PCIe would provide quicker throughput since skipping host cont. Is it imperceptible on preview?

@neoteaika PhysX FleX felt so underutilized for how powerful it was. Outside of BL2, I can only think of maybe Killing Floor 2 using it to near full potential. Blood liquid sims, gore and gibs, cloth tearing. Sucks it was vendor-locked.

was talking to a friend just yesterday about how borderlands 2 had some of the coolest physx implementation id ever seen along with the early years of PlanetSide 2, neither of which have any of this in their remasters/newer versions of the games

@RolltheredDev @reminteo Yeah, you're right it still doesn't. It's a shame because there are always alternatives to achieve the same effect, but people are either unaware or they really enjoy seeing videos reflected on an alcohol glass 50 metres from the emitter source.

@reminteo LTCGI is one of them. It doesn't support batching last i used it.

@Designatedkitty Studios know that players love choice™, so they will shrink the game-mode pool and rotate modes every week. It makes search times 2 seconds faster, but you won't see your fav mode for months. A fair trade.

@Meelsie143 IMO It's one of those genres where the enjoyment factor heavily depends on how much you can ruin the time of someone else. Gear rush with friends and kick down others, it's like the Rust experience repackaged without base building mechanics.

@RolltheredDev While sharing my screen to show someone how dumb these instances are, the stars comically aligned. The first instance I join had a teenager at the door who "verified" me at the door by using my 7+ years VRC account age badge.

I am age verified officially through VRChat, we need to do better than this please.. I made a reasonable compromise and still was forced out. We shouldn't force people to give private information in public instances to strangers. Posting for change, please listen.

i’d rather have a 3d printer that automatically pushes prints out the bed when finished than multicolor printing

@logorn_gadum I imagine that flood combat forms can use turrets too but I never tested that. They can use flamethrowers at least.

In all my years of playing Bungie Halo I still somehow see something new. This brute killed a marine with a human turret. I've never seen this.
